It felt like a current was pushing me – only me – and I was an astronaut about to roll into a neverending tumble into deep, black space. I grabbed onto the side of the platform and held on for dear life. “Breathe, breathe.”
Some might say . . . why? Others, why not? There certainly is no right answer.
It got me thinking about what it is about magic that we find so engaging?
“There’s so much out there under the waves that we can’t see,” I said, “things happening that we don’t know.” Alan thought for a second and looked out at the waves too. Then he said, “Ahh, but the sea knows.”
